The Summer School Calendar/Student Planner will provide important dates for Summer School Registration, CALM Orientation dates, and Phys Ed Program dates. Summer School 2018 Calendar/Planner
The yearly projection for the information/registration night for Summer School:
- for CALM and Phys. Ed 10: - will be on an evening in the first part of May*
- for all other courses: will be on an evening in the second half of May*
Summer school is a great way to upgrade a course, get a jump-start on the next school year, or earn credits toward your high school diploma.
Both Learning Centres offer summer school courses in July. During summer school, teachers are available for one-on-one assistance Monday to Friday during summer school operatinal hours.
SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION: Please bring students Birth Certificate or current Passport and Alberta Health Care Number. Parent/Guardian signature required for students under 18. Payment in cash or cheque are accepted for fees where applicable. Please click on Fees at the bottom of the page for cost breakdown. A MATH 10C / SCIENCE 10 CLASS MAY BE OFFERRED DURING SUMMER SCHOOL AT THE STURGEON LEARNING CENTRE / MORINVILLE LEARNING CENTRE LOCATION(S), PENDING MINIMUM ENROLMENT IS MET.
We offer all high school levels (Grades 10 to 12) of core subjects and career and technology studies courses, including:
- Social Studies
- Work Experience
- Phys. Ed. 10
Courses are composed of modules that can be completed at a Learning Centre or off-site on your own time. Some courses (e.g. Phys. Ed. 10) may also be offered as individual classes. The credits earned by students are applied toward their high school diploma.
Note: During summer school, students can only be registered in one 5-credit core subject.
Students completing diploma level courses will write their diploma exams in August.
Deadline to register for Summer School Diploma courses must be done prior to the end of May.
For non-diploma level courses, all course work and exams are to be completed prior to the last day of summer school, the date will be provided at time of registration.
